what amp and speakers will you be using? interested because I want to upgrade my turntable soon.

Unfortunately I've only got some hand me downs from an old technics hifi stack. I don't think they're any good. The amp is a Technics SU-X301 and the speakers are Technics SB-CS5's

Table and benches I ordered months ago arrived today

You've organised them wrong - that looks awful. If you are going to use short benches, then put one chair either side. Having two chairs each side at the top is just freaking out my OCD

What made you choose the cartridge? I've got two Rega Planar 3's, one needs a rewire but the other has an upgraded tone arm.

Basically I was told that it was a very good cartridge for its cheap price point, as I couldn't afford £50+ for a replacement!

No worries. I'm very happy with them. They were several weeks longer than quoted but nice about it - seems they've had a lot of demand through etsy. It was very much made to fit the space so didn't mind waiting. I'm going to get some more benches and may be a sideboard.
