Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Not something I technically purchased, but something I got for free from a hard fought skirmish with Openreach led my me and with the assistance of my neighbours until they caved in and upgraded my whole development with fibre. Saved over £10,0000 it would have cost to get FTTPoD. Now the FTTP isn't live just yet, but the fibre was laid last week and once connected up I should be able to order. Hopefully within the next week or so:

How did you manage this? about two months ago I managed to speak with the openreach CEO, one of his directors, his PA, and two different engineers. In the end, I got nowhere. My cabinet is maxed out, and just about managed to get 66mb which in 2020 is pathetic.

Lucky you. We have had to live with 13mb for the last 3 years.

What do you do that means you need more than 66mb?

Stop personally pestering the CEO of openreach when you already have triple the UK average speed!

I do like a fellow who appreciates the finer things from the Middle of Lidl ;)

Those Parkside tools are really good. I've got a lot of the 20V ones from there and they've all been very reliable despite me dropping some of them off the roof of my workshop a couple of times.
The batteries are hit and miss - had several fail - but they are so cheap they are almost disposable.

Sync speed is only part of the story (come on you should know this on a techie site :p). Peak times are where everyone around here struggles.
The lady opposite had them out last week, and when I bumped into them a while back they said they were always getting jobs for this cabinet from customers having issues.

Last I heard they had applied for something called cable relief, which is where I think they install a second cabinet.

Definitely, I've picked up a few over the years and been impressed with them. :)

How are you finding the fans?

I bought one of them (CPC?), it was woeful and went straight back. It sounded broken, and didn't push out much air.

Yep, CPC, I was dubious due to the low cost, but given the heat and everywhere local sold out gave them a go. They are a little noisy but not unbearable and seem to work fine, had no complaints from the wife or kids ...

Not strictly bought per se, but put a deposit down to secure myself a new bike - 2021 GT Avalanche Expert in matt black.

I've been trying to get a new bike for ages now, and due to the Covid-19 situation everywhere is constantly sold out, so having to wait a few more months to pick it up is no big deal.

Ours must've been faulty then. It sounded like something was stuck in the mechanism and compared to our 16" regular fan it just seemed ineffective. Sadly we keep losing that to my daughter :(

Finally had the fitted wardrobes installed today ...

They need to return with the mirror for the Mrs' dressing table and two bedside units.

Carpet going in on 3rd September too

Don't they use these things for wiring up explosives for when they want to blow a building or something up :p
