I won a 3080 first, then I won a monitor, then I won this PC in the space of about a month. Needless to say some people have told the organiser they think it's a bit suspect me winning close together, but it would be a pretty crap scam if you could somehow chose the same person to win 3 big prizes using a random number generator lol. Also I wouldn't have spent the £500 or so that I've already spent recently to build my new PC; on a new case, PSU, fans and fan controller if I was in on it, lol, got to figure out what I'm going to do with those now though.

Update:

Consultant seen, says surgery is the only option now!

£8k and surgery within a month or 10 month wait and free! :(
What is the procure involved? If it’s just a microsurgery to remove a slipped disc I had this done a couple of years ago at a months notice as paid ~£4k (well, my insurers did).

Ouch. What are you going to do?

Private I expect, lucky enough to have some support and dad has said he can help out and I can do the rest on 0% finance. I can't put my socks on in the morning without agony and spend half the day laying under my desk at work, so can't wait for the NHS. 8-10 months is a relatively positive wait for the NHS I expect too!

Ouch. How bad is it? Can you wait 10 months?

As above, don't think i'd be sane enough to make a decision in 10 months time! :(

Can you work as you are now? If not, there’s no point waiting as you’ll lose more than £8k in wages.

Lucky enough to be self employed with a business parter, selling a range of car detailing oroducts so I can handle all the paper work and light duties and he can then go and need the same surgery next year after doing all the heavy stuff! :p

Microdiscectomy I believe! Was yours keyhole or open surgery? What part of the country are you in?

That's insane luck, congratulations!

Reminds me of the end of 2017. I won a bequiet case and an SSD from two Facebook competitions. Then on Christmas day I won a full watercooling setup from Alphacool! They actually worked with me to spec up the loop perfectly then sent everything I'd need down to funnels and bottles.

That's still my main gaming rig using all the above prizes :)
