Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Okay, I didn't WANT to buy this and only did so because I buggered my Claymore but in the end I'm very happy with this board. The white panel under the keys diffuses the lightning very nicely. Just need to order some Hyper X pudding caps

Here's my second pulled pint, it has a slightly smaller head than the first and is lovely and cold.

Does look the biz that for what is ultimately a casual pint at home! Have always been tempted to get one.

Do love the complaints as said above. I can't believe that a machine costing £500 is a slight bit better than one for £100.

I jest obviously, it is mental though how they can afford £1000 canada goose jackets but decide to wear with tracksuit bottoms and no socks :p

Oh of course :p Some people spend good money on tracksuit bottoms or sweat pants too... Each to their own I guess!

It's a lot better.

The sub is a gimmick it's nothing like proper draught. Get the Phillips machine if you want to spend less.

https://www.beerwulf.com/en-gb/p/beercases/blade-birra-moretti-8l-keg

However it's £425 and that's with 2 times 8 litre kegs.

So roughly 30 pints. The cost of a pint of moretti is what £4 at least for proper draught. 4 * 30 = £120 so the machine is only £300.

You can even tell by looking at the machines one is built like a tank the other all plastic.

I've used both and my family also own a pub and a restaurant so I know how proper draught in commercial systems works and all the variables which effect a pint. Cellar temperature, cleanliness of the lines, age of keg, correctly operating cooler with correct level of water, etc.

If you want a proper pub experience buy the blade. If you aren't a big drinker get the Phillips perfect draft for £190

£220 with a keg. The sub is just a waste of time imo. It's got more flaws than it does pros.

How is one machine that pours fresh draft beer a gimmick but a different machine that looks a little different and also pours fresh draft beer a good purchase? Haha

What does material have to do with it? Do you think a proper keg made of metal is better than a plastic key keg? Your argument makes no sense.

The truth is none of the machines provide a 'proper pub experience', but they all give you draft beer at home at different price points with different levels of quality in design, you clearly have something against the sub for some reason. For me it works fine and will dispense my homebrew when I want it, meaning no need to fill up 50+ bottles every time I make a beer. I also don't have to worry about freshness of the beer I'm drinking when I have brewed it.

I've worked in the beer industry in the UK and the US, both in craft breweries. I have Cicerone certification and have had yearly training in off flavours, so I am fine using my own judgement on this, but thanks for your insight.

That also pours draught beer.

So your saying all draught systems are the same?

Have you used the blade?

Build quality is a sign of a better machine.

I've used the sub and it's crap imo. The blade is leagues ahead even your second pint poured above looks like it's been sitting a while for the head to come down.

Having poured thousands of pints you can tell by the head on it that it's been sitting for a while. Which means it was frothing up and you had to stop pouring and start again the bubbles are different when it's a perfect pour at the top. They aren't as large or as thick.

Obviously you are going to defend your purchase but I have used both and the sub is something I couldn't recommend to anyone.

Get the Phillips perfect draft as a bare minimum but best going straight to the blade.

The next time I use the sub I'll post a pic of how bad it is.

Nice guess, but no. I poured it, set it down while I grabbed my phone and then took a pic.

But anyway, as said earlier, when I buy a house at the end of the year I will build a kegerator which will be better for beer than any of these machines and will cost me half the price of the Blade if I find a cheap secondhand fridge. I bought this on a whim just after bottling 50+ bottles of homebrew for the first time time since I moved back from the states and was reminded how much I hate it. With this now I only have to do 10 bottles and I only paid £70 when you take away the cost of the beer that was included.

You're also forgetting that I never recommended this to anyone, I just said I had purchased it and that it is working fine for me. If you're having issues with yours that's not mine or anybody else's problem.

Fair enough your own setup will likely be better. I've seen a lot of people buying subs my brother included and every time I'm over I prefer to grab a bottle from the fridge it's honestly that bad.

The blade however I'd pick that over a bottle any day. I've not tried the Phillips but it's meant to be in the middle of the two.

I've made my own beer too well ginger beer. Self carbonating turned out quite nice and went down well at a BBQ. Used pat Mack's caps so simple to do.

I wouldn't ever attempt to make my own homebrew though. Too much hassle for me but i understand it's a hobby and a passion for a lot of people. Ginger beer and possibly cider is what I'll limit myself to.

I've got one of the subs as well from Beerwulf, had absolutely no issues.. I leave one of the kegs in the fridge and it's ready to pour within 5-20 minutes depending what drink it is from putting it into the sub, throw away the first half glass or so (as you would anyway) and then no issues from there. Not sure why the negativity. For the price compared to the alternatives it was a no brainer for me. Pours and tastes great.. if you take it out and move it around and place it in, obviously don't expect it to pour brilliantly, but that's not on the sub.

And obviously a Blade is going to be better than the alternative regularly available for under £100 with beer....

The only answer is to buy take away beer from a pub, and trust that they know AND APPLY the correct gas mix. And then not care about how long it's been sitting in your fridge for.

I've wanted one of these for quite a while!

Jaguar XF R-Sport. 25T 250bhp. 2018. 17k miles. Dealership with 2 year extended warranty thrown in free. Few extras like 10" Touch Pro, Rear Camera etc.

A 128GB SE to replace my 2017 SE which Apple kindly bricked during a forced update to iOS 14.1
I hate Apple for this ****, but I can’t get on with Android.
My old SE was on its last legs anyway with a cracked chassis and broken home button, but I would’ve preferred to hold out until the new year..

I can tell looking at the head on this beer that you are wearing a skirt and have painted toe nails on your left foot.

Also LOL at drinking buxton water, in my 8.9 years as a water taste tester for evian I can tell you now, their water is wetter than normal, which to anyone as experienced as myself is a big no no.
