Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

New laptop after dropping water over my ageing macbook earlier in the week.

Asus Zenbook 14
Ryzen 4500u
8gb RAM
Radeon Graphics
512gb nvme storage

800eur :)

I needed a thin and light travel buddy for travel (when I go back to travelling) and for web browsing, twitch/youtube watching and good battery life, this ticked all the boxes.

Good impresses so far, lovely screen and amazing to get a 14" screen in a 13" body :)

Very nice! I'm very impressed with my 14" Zenbook Flip. The Screenpad is a total gimmick (tried using it to browse my notes in a Google Doc whilst presenting from Slides on duplicated main screen but it was impossible), but otherwise another solid Asus laptop.

Oh you mean the numpad in the trackpad? I tried it a little, worked ok. :)

I like the Windows Hello webcam sign in. Works nicely and overall the laptop is impressive, especially for the money I think. Also the speakers are fantastic.

The Screenpad turns the trackpad into a small touchscreen. The calculator is also a possibility.
Speakers are impressive too.

Anyway I’ve had Asus laptops for 15 years now and they never let me down.

Normally I avoid Asus products and I only took a second look after discussing potential laptops with a friend and he said "no Jake you REALLY need to take a look, these will suit you perfectly" and he was right (so far)

My only gripe with it was I wanted 16gb of ram instead of 8gb. But the stores here were not willing to contact ASUS to do a custom order for me, and also to get 16gb meant paying 200eur more for a 4700u version with 1tb storage - both were hardware options I wouldn't have needed. So I'll live with it. I've installed literally a handful of apps and it was running sweet all of last night :)

I had that happen to a laptop once. Water all over the keyboard and when that didn’t short it out water accidentally went into the rear vents as well.

Bought some wall mounts for my monitors, and then decided to buy a new TV for the office and wall mounted that too

Just need to tidy up some cables now and buy a longer power lead for the tv so I can hide it
