Picked up a bit of kit myself with my tax refund.

New TV (CX) after my B8 stopped working recently. Costco have been decent at sorting it, if a little slow.

Deemed uneconomical to repair/too long given the current climate. They’re waiting on head office to approve refund but I picked up a CX on a good deal today in Costco Southampton

Ooh could you tell me what that tv stand is please?

Is the centre shelf moveable like the other two? I need something big enough to fit a centre speaker in which is about 40x20x20cm or so

It’s IKEA, and so completely modular. Shelving can be adjusted to your taste - I wanted to give my AVR some breathing space, but it can be lowered.

Still missing doors though as they haven’t been in stock since we got the unit.

Thanks. I was looking at the Besta units ages ago, never cottoned onto the fact they're modular, that's really handy. I should've guessed as as I recognised those Ikea storage bins you have.

Fair warning, though, the paper foil coating IKEA use (at least for the white stained oak one I had) is fairly abrasive. Don't drag soft materials like rubbers or plastics across it, or it will scuff them good. Was pretty disappointed with that.

It is crown "exotic". I like the colour but it's terrible paint. It is very difficult to apply without any letterboxing/flashing. It required me to help the mrs with the painting to remove streak marks>>>, paintbrush, go over it with a small roller and then large roller


It appears like this paint also scratches easily so in hindsight not too impressed!
 
Bought this magic little box to stop having to use the lightning to 3.5mm adapter with my phone!
Need a Lightning to USB-C OTG cable now to use it in USB mode but so far enjoying the wireless freedom and the amazing Parametric EQ options.

Getting back into PC gaming a bit recently and have had my eye on a new monitor for a while, so figured a GPU upgrade would be a good idea. Replaces my 5 year old 1060 6GB, seems like a rather significant improvement in performance so far.
