Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Yeah, have a couple pairs or Vivos, although been favouring Altra as running >50 miles needs some kind of cushioning!

I documented it a bit in the running thread, but the main issue (inflamed toe joint capsule), is likely to have been caused from transitioning to Vivo shoes. I meant to just wear them for short runs but then was on holiday and threw in a couple of longer unplanned 10ish mile runs which deviated away from the nice soft sand and up some technical rocky hills which then had steep descents and huge amounts of impact (i'm ~100kg so it's a lot).
Then i got back from holiday and 2 weeks later had a 45 mile run, i got attacked by a dog after ~8 miles which charged my left thigh and i assume my form then adapted for the remaining 35 miles which put additional stress onto the foot which was already possibly a little damaged from wearing the Vivos on holiday more than i should.

For the time being i'm alternating between some Hokas which help protect the ball of my foot and some more cushioned Altras for road/trail. Once this foot pain eases i'm going to just keep working on strengthening my foot, stick with Vivos for general walking around and the Altras for running. With a bit of luck trying to shed some weight too ahead of a 100 mile run in July.
Blimey. That is some distance. Impressive you kept running after the dog attack given running the way you came back was 4+ x shorter than finishing the planned route!

Been thinking of getting a car battery jumper pack for a while and decided on the Gooloo GT30000 seeing as this was on discount and so adaptable for other charging duties. I need to find my more powerful USB charger as this is only charging at 14W as the image below - it can charge at 100W with the right charger.

To no ones surprise I didn't keep the Inno3D 4090. I decided to return it for a few QC issues and instead opt for a 4080, netting a £650 saving which was needed for the camera funds.

I did promise some inappropriately blurry photos of things, so here we go.

Decided on this specific card because a) it's the cheapest b) it reviewed well and c) it fits my blacked out anti RGB build.

I bought another new tool too, this is more to try a bit of furniture making once the house work is done. Will probably test out on the rolling table saw stand I want to build soon.

After opting for the more expensive version above and then reading up on it a bit more I decided I didn't need it, especially as it has some limitations over the smaller versions.

So I returned it and used the money to grab the handheld version, as well as a dowelling jig and a few clamps.

Latest Christmas present.
Anybody with a man shed will know how useful the metal on these can be for odd jobs.
It's just taken me 40 years to get through 20 I had so hopefully another 40 years of odd jobs in front of me

The other thing I always keep in my tool box for doing repairs are cocktail sticks, again there will be those who know.

Hmmm, wonder if these would be any good for me. I have to walk betwixt 20-30km a day for work whilst wearing steel toecapped boots. I'm thinking a pair of those and then a pair of my work socks (reinforced toes and heels) over the top.

Get some boots with composite or moulded toecaps. I have a pair of uvex boots for my day to day and they're incredibly comfortable.

Oh good choice. I bought the 4 series on offer last month with £50 cashback from Bosch on top which made it the same price as the 2 series. Fantastic and cleans well and really quiet and economical.

Thank you.

So far we are impressed by it, although I've set the OH up remotely to it, it is only me that has used it so far and have been very happy with it.
