Same - with the way things are going, it's good to have nice breaks to look forward too. We're heading to Porto for 3 nights (BA Black Friday deal) end of Jan and then Hong Kong in April.

Mostly excited to try a Francesinha sandwich!

This is more than fine. Anything bigger and I don't need a big precise tool.

This is mainly for sizing parts on my bike, plant pot sizing (I have a lot of plants) and just general stuff.

One of those things you can make do without. So you don't NEED it. But need to do some work on my bike and need to size some parts. So finally got one.

It was £10.50 !

My number 1 calliper is a plastic dial one that's been in my apron pocket since college and then made its way into toolbox when I stopped using it at work. I've had about 4 digital ones from £10 to £25 since then all of which are flaky and drain batteries while off. The plastic one is faster and more accurate!

I do dream of owning a good digital Vernier though.

My electronic one is also dreadful. It turns off a lot and is very hard to actually use if you aren't grabbing something with it i.e. using the depth gauge.

Got 10 button batteries for 1.29 too. ridiculous
