Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

I like to buy stuff in sales. This year is clothes.

Bought two rain coats. Cheaper one and more expensive one. Both arrive today. Opened both. No label on either package.

The one I like? Yeah of course it was the expensive one.

The quilt is actually grey. This was best attempt to get the colour to look correct!
My Samsung phone cam can't seem to capture teal! Quilt looks green due to heavy tint applied to whole pic.

It weighs almost nothing!

Macro lens, not had one of my own before so this is a first. Gotta visit a store that has jumping spiders and things soon to capture some wicked eyeballs and fuzz

You don't have to make up stories about shops with jumping spiders. Were all friends here, we know you've bought that just to take photos of your watches

:p

Any reason you opted for that macro rather than the Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro?

The closest detailed object to hand was literally on my wrist :p

Yes quite a lot of reasons!

- No auto focus
- No weather sealing
- No image stabilisation
- Cannot focus on anything over 10cm away from it

It's an ultra specialist macro-only lens so not suitable for anything else. My use case is macro, but also portraits, sports and everything else where 100mm comes in handy (I sold my 85mm 1.4 and also have a 135mm f2L that gets used a lot).

It has a real feel of quality about it. Made of aluminium and has a good heft. Adjustable beam focus and lantern mode. Rechargeable and waterproof too. Only £25.
The one I have is crazy. Its metal too. It has this insane led in it. At minimum spread its a square beam of light. In going out tonight I'll try and get a pic

Cree something LED I think

What brand is yours?

This one is only 400 lumines, but seems amazingly bright to me.

I have to take a load of Xmas decorations to the loft later, so will test it out :D
