Diamond cut has been the thorn in my side since 2016, next time round it's shadow chrome outer face and black inner face for sure.
Why do they keep need doing?

Nice, really going for the Hyundai look, they're smashing it out the park lately.
More like the other way round... You know that the wheel design with black inner and silver outer has been an E46 M3 thing since 2001 right?

Why do they keep need doing?
Diamond cut wheels are fragile, the smallest stone chip will cause weathering to get under the lacquer and they start to milk and corrode at the surface.

They look amazing when fresh but once you have a chip then that's it they're aesthetically time bombed

Shadow chrome powder coating with black inners looks nearly identical to diamond cut though, just without the gleam as light hits the face, and doesn't have the downside so next time I'll just opt for that finish instead. I got these recut wheels at a good price so this is the last purchase of diamond cut wheels :p

You can powder coat them, I just really like the look of diamond cut hence why just going with these again as the price was lucrative vs everywhere else.

Powder coat with shadow chrome = The original M3 18" wheel style, but with the 19"'s black inside = Hybrid of both designs. Looks close to diamond cut in normal light until you look up close and can't see the cut line striations of the diamond tip.

This is what powder coated shadow chrome with black insides looks like:

That's a terrible example of diamond cut. They both look the same there. The pic before shows the diamonds much better.

Now you've shown how they look in powder coated form.... With a a more satin finish, I prefer that.

The earlier pic is under strong indoor lighting, which will show up the striations/gleam, just as I mentioned. In normal daylight shadow chrome powder coated looks near diamondcut, until you go up close and notice it's powder coated. Both diamond cut and shadow chrome from the M3 have a satin lustre. I can't speak for other wheel refurb places, but my place do it nearly identically which is why both car pics above look similar, in normal light, until you're up close to them and as mentioned, see that one is coated.

Good for you, it's nice to see people getting a bit of luck.

One year we'll actually manage to sit down for a pint when I'm over in October.
Thanks Feek

Some Loake boots from a real shop ! Largely off recommendations in a old thread here. About 3 times what I normally pay, but time I bought quality instead of cheap.

Apologies for lack of the GD approved Hovis, I hope Warburtons will suffice.
