Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Become my new daily, feels weighty enough in the hand without being overly heavy, the ratchet is very satisfying to use and has a nice sound to it.

If you think that's expensive have a look at how much Snap On ratchet screwdrivers go for :)
Just looked that up, that's some marketing! Amazon have a basics version for £11 with all the same 'advantages'.

I love those 'Is the same as' products

Usually sits broken in a draw not long after purchase

Glad you're enjoying it :)
I've got 2 Snap on and a Mac tools ratchet drivers, and yes they are silly expensive, but absolutely bombproof and worth every penny.

Whilst I agree cheap tools are crap, so are the majority of expensive tools. There's always a point where your overpaying for no real reason, but then this applies to a lot of stuff..

Totally agree.

I used a torque wrench used on Bugatti for years, that obviously cost a pretty penny, but was no better imo that an equivalent Snap-On or Mac Tools one, but the trade knows which tools are willy wavers and which tools (Snap-on for example) that are tools for life.

As you say, it applies for a lot of stuff.

Festool is the tradesmen equivalent.

A torque wrench that isn't calibrated occasionally may as well be a spanner.

Netatmo is also a very easy 2 wire install, direct replacement for the existing thermostat. Very easy.

Not sure if anyone else has asked? But what software is running on that Surface Pro? I had the idea for this many years ago but I hardly look at the calendar on my phone! Let alone one in the house but that looks like a neat setup! :)

It looks to be Home Assistant. It's local home automation/smart home, a lot of people run them on Raspberry Pi's, those are hard to come by at the mo though so people are using other hardware. I personally have it running on a Raspberry Pi 3

I don't get it... What more does it do?

I imagine it's just nice to use, doesn't strip screws, has ratcheting, built in heads etc.

I just posted a petty knife that cost me £90, it doesn't really do anything that a £20 knife wouldn't. It's just nicer made and nicer to use, which is important if you're using it a lot.

£80 for a screwdriver?!

£80 for a £25 screwdriver and some branding :)

For that sort of money I'd get something like this

You're mental, in a cool way :p

Hope you're well! What sort of range is this set to give you?
It's too early to be 100% sure but I think it's increased my maximum range by 10nm or so, out to 255-260nm.

The maxima graph is where it all shows, it'll be more clear after a few weeks but you can see the trend is already showing higher.

Anyway.

Just got this.
