Been going a bit mad with Lego while on Paternity leave, some new and a couple 2nd hand. Also some not pictured and some on the way.

Mitutoyo 6" digital calipers delivdered today, makes a great companion to my old Mitutoyo 1.2" Quick micrometer (owned it for years - frightening price to buy now). The QuickMicrometer only needs 3 or so turns for the full travel of the spindle yet it still offers superior accuracy.

Another world map surface, this time in black once again as got a bit bored of the old vintage style one. It's Titanwolf branded, the only brand I've liked, thick and nicely manufactured vs the thinner ones that look and feel cheap.

I think I might have had one of those cheap ones recently and eventually got rid of it. I may have to have a look at this one!

Make sure it's by Titanwolf! I've had the cheaper ones too and they're floppy and weak!

Had to buy a replacement HD for my NAS because one had died after just _5 months_! I'll RMA the broken one of course and keep the replacement as a spare but I needed to get the NAS back up and running ASAP.

Could have been an opportunity to go SSD! Dual 8TB SATA drives would have been mega in a NAS

Yes but I would need 8 SSD drives! Anyway, the NAS isn't capable of high speed throughput to make it worthwhile, although that NAS does have a 10Gbe interface only my PC has similar and the rest of the network is still on 1Gbe.Could have been an opportunity to go SSD!
