That's awesome!

That's awesome!

[Geek]I know! It has multiple colours, start up / shut down effects and "swoosh" noise when you move it, blaster deflection noise and "drag" effect when you drag the tip along a surface and "noise on clash" when something hits the blade. Grinning like a Cheshire Cat[/geek]

:D

That's almost too awesome. I don't need one, I don't need one...

Some stuff I probably need... more tools. A Koken impact driver and some Sealey torx impact sockets.

Ha ha I tried (and failed) to convince myself I didnt need it ..... :P

Had a bit of a mini midlife crisis and geeked out a bit

Loved (the original trilogy) Star wars films and had what was effectively a cruddy plastic tube on a torch "light saber" when I was a kid

After recent getting into the Disney spin offs and just finished watching Ahsoka I decided to regress .....

Things have moved on somewhat in 40 odd years ...

Smiling way more than a manboy of my age should'be ....

Does this light come out of nothing?
By that I mean it's not a solid tube that turns on/off.. But there's literally nothing there until you turn it on??

Edit just seen a video. I thought what I said above was basically impossible. Apart from that one on YouTube where someone made a real one!

Yeah, id love that it didn't, but there is a removable tube with the embedded LEDs for the colours / effects etc

Out of interest, what happened? It's not epoxy grout is it?

No, it's normal grout - the tiler was, in the main (and he did 4 or 5 rooms in the house) great, but must have left it to long or didn't do a proper job cleaning the tiles.

They are textured, like an almost dimpled face, not rough but certainly not smooth and some of the grout has stayed on the texture on the face of the tile in our downstairs shower room.

To be fair it's not an awful lot but the Mrs working from home uses the loo in there several times a day and she is at the point of taking about having it re-tiled.

Convinced her with some proper remover, elbow grease and patience the tiles should be able to be cleaned (or I bloody hope so).... Rather than the mess, effort and obvious cost of replacing the tiles ..

Edit - some pics

It's on maybe 30-35 tiles and the above is "normal" of those with the residue. Have tried wire wool, sugar water etc etc. I've used this before to take hardened mortar snots of paving slabs, will try diluting it and see how it goes ...

Any-chance you can finish painting your walls. Is hurting my ocd.
Keep overshooting with the white then overshooting with the green :( one day.
Just use tape to mask off
Cheers Rob hadn't thought of that
This banter is so good I honestly can't tell who's mocking and who's being dumb xD

Like, do NoobCannon and Rob genuinely not know what a picture rail is? Or is Dlockers actually trying and failing to paint a flat line? I can't tell
