Might consider them, we did used to use these in the UK which were pretty effective and seem to be the same thing, although i could never work out if it attracted more flies in the first place!

Exactly! No one told me about this! One guy said it was just a bad time of year, but googling black flies in Spain seems to suggest a regular increase due to warmer weather. Least it's not as bad as Australia..

Australia is weird like that, it's a wild country. You can be fly free one day and the next day see a swarm of millions in the air. And it's not just flies, swarms of locusts, bees, rats and even spiders can happen randomly

Funny I just sold my 100-400 this week.................and bought the new 70-200 f2.8 OSS II . Already had the 200-600 zoom so the 100-400 was getting little use anymore

Getting back into a bit of photography and videography, and I don't think you can do better than the G9 II at the moment for something compact.
