For those who don't know what these are or how cool they are, basically for ages now Chinese companies have been making Makita battery clones but in recent years the idea occurred to Chinese tool companies that if they made their tools compatible with Makita batteries (cloned and real) they would have instant access to a huge ecosystem. And surprisingly some of the brands doing it actually make really good tools which means that you get situations like this where if you're already bought into the Makita ecosystem you can pick one of these up for £60 less than a comparable Makita model and you also get an extra 5ah battery (that performs like a genuine 3ah one) an extra Makita compatible charger, some sockets and a non-cardboard box to put them all in. Obviously if you plan on using the tool every day it's better to go with Makita but if you only expect to need it like once a month then it's a great alternative.

That’s really helpful, I have a load of makita batteries and would like a new jigsaw and circular saw but the price was off putting. Thank you.
