Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Where is this please? Looks lovely.

A Riad in the Medina in Rabat.

It's a good experience but if you are going to go, some expectations need to be set.

1 - There are mosques practically next door, they have tannoys on their roof...playing prayers at prayer times, one of those is like 6:30am. But this is the same in most Muslim countries I expect.
2 - Windows are single glazed...from point No.1.
3 - Breakfast choice is limited, it's nice, but limited. What you see there was pretty much is, plus your choice of eggs. No meat.
4 - It is in the middle of the Medina, so no car access, will have to walk the last few hundred meters.

It is a nice experience for a night, big massive room, air con works great. The stay itself is comfortable, the location was fine, central. The biggest downside is the noise really, I was woken up every morning by it.

Nice. Had a couple of days in Tangier - family in Gib so half hour ferry over.

The prayer tannoy is an experience. :) Struggled a bit with the natives seemingly moving in packs to scam you. We ended up paying one of them to take us round ("Very trustworthy man") apparently, got the rest of our backs and to be fair, we saw much more than had we'd tried to go it alone. It kinda worked out in the end but the constant nagging from the locals was hard work.

I was accompanied by the gf, and sometimes, her sister, who are locals, so that was fine in terms of getting rid of the locals. I mean they did come over, but I am good at ignoring them. I do stand out though, more than any Caucasians. i also been to some very local spots, zero tourists, like they took me to this BBQ joint that was in a place 30miles outside the city in the middle of nowhere.

Flamer Thrower!

Not expecting much but will be a bit of fun so me and my son while making a start on cleaning up my mums patio. Couldn't resist at 20 quid

Also purchased some other patio cleaning equipment but those are boring

Still on the fence about Morocco.

I'd go on my own. But I'm not sure if the Gf would like it. Tbh I'm not sure if i would either but I do want to go.

Morocco reminds me of Shenzhen China from 30 years ago, back in the mid 80's, when it was less developed. The part where it is next to HK, one of the district that was opened up to the west for investments. The up and coming feel, building cranes all over, half-finished houses, lots of dust on the streets, people hustling, trying to make a living in a society that is trying to move up.

It's safe as any European countries, just more poverty, beggers and perhaps people trying to hustle you for some change. Taxi scams are also a thing but the food is cheap and good, the hotels are cheap too. The supermarkets are like your Sainsbury's, there are malls that are modern like ours.

What a time to be alive.

Last time I bought an SSD was 2015 and it cost £65 for 250gb, yet this little thing cost not much more and holds 2TB! So I bought two of them.

Ended up buying more SSDs, to go into my server rebuild.

£45 for 1tb each, don't mind if I do!

Just waiting for some nice chunky hard drives that should hopefully arrive tomorrow.

And some other bits and bobs.

Nearly 7 years to the day since my last full build so thought it was about time. Nvidia can super sod off though.
