Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

cool - love having usb-c charging on the camera, but would be good to be able to charge the battery directly as well! Would be interested to know how well they last (never had much luck with 3rd party batteries)
Yeah charging from a power bank out and about is now more convenient. In the past they were iffy as they used generic cells inside but as of the last few years things have changed quite a bit. These are middle-ground priced really, Canon's official batteries which are anywhere from £80 to £105 each! These were £51 for a 2-pack which included a 15% Amazon offer, and they're slightly higher capacity than Canon's but not much, just shy of 100mAh more.

I previously had a Hahnel pair which were bought in 2016 and when I charge it to "full" now according to the charger, the camera reads only 65% capacity, so it's lost quite a bit of max capacity over the last 8 years of use which coincides with the type of cells that 3rd parties were using back then, whereas now things are quite a bit different and 3rd parties see to offer a better product than the rip-off prices the camera maker wants to charge you for a lower specced battery lol.

Perfect! My gf was looking for a rice bucket that would hold 10kg, but had discounted that one as she didn't think 10l would hold 10kg of rice and we currently have this sat on the worktop.

Also bought this to replace my 10 year old head torch. It's amazing how much the tech has improved in that time.

Probably could. But I don't have 11 kg :)

OK, I won't say it...

But that's exactly what it does. A big bag of rice will take ages to get through and it comes in a strong bag, not exactly easy to seal after it's been hacked open. This makes storage and access very easy. Open, scoop, close.
How long will it take to amortise the cost saving from big 10kg bags to smaller more practical bags vs the cost of the rice bin?

I found these tyoes of clip handy

Rice tub is actually very cool. I've got the YumAsia rice cooker, but just use a normal tuppaware pot to empty the rice in. As you say i'm not sure where the benefit is of 5/10kg bags are vs a couple smaller bags. Unless it opens up higher quality rice.

Bought a head torch. Its a bit OP though!
Party for Norway in winter and in general for stuff around house when you need it.

Its got a handy red light for doing things at night where you need to read.

The main bulb is also adjustable in spot to wide.

A 500g bag of Tilda rice from Tesco is £2.00 (Clubcard price). A 10kg bag is £28.

Therefore it's £12 cheaper for the same quantity if you buy a large bag. We have rice two or three times a week so that big bag will last less than six months.

The bucket was £26 so it'll pay for itself in a year or so. We don't do a 'regular' shop, we just go when we need stuff so if we bought smaller bags, we'd end up in a situation where we reached for the rice and there wouldn't be any.

Did you get it from the YumAsia store or elsewhere?
Amazon, I think the price is about the same as their store when you take postage into consideration.

Head torch tech doesnt seem to have gone quite as mental as the hand held CREE (et al) torches, but I trialled many different models before deciding on the two I chose. Separate models for different uses, the LENSER I use for search and rescue, it has a seemingly pointless bluetooth controller that is actually invaluable, means I don't have to remove gloves to adjust beam patterns, red/map light etc.. and the Fenix I use for ambulance work, it's a great bit of kit and both are supremely bright with excellent battery life.

I've already used mine for something unexpected.
I certainly look like a douche but even just walking with the dog it's nice to have 2 hands.. Even just for picking up a poo!

Mine only Cost 20 quid.
Looks like a cree bulb in mine.

Comes with 2 * 18650 2200mah batts and usbc charging

The led shape looks like same as on a hand torch I have.

IMO these are better (I have one). Smaller footprint and it dispenses.

Also you can get good quality basmati for <£18 if you go to Asian supermarkets and cash and carries.
