New office chair, was 99 originally but amazon messed up my order and managed to get 25 goodwill out of them. Worked out to 75 :) it's a Sihoo m18. First impressions are good nice support the seat seems soft enough. Only downside is the depth of the seat is way shorter than my old chair (old dx racer gaming chair) so feels like my legs go too far if that makes sense? Time will tell :)

ahh looks identical to the chair i bought.. Very good and comfy.. i assume yours didn't come with leg/calf support (or you didn't go for that option).

Even then, the only thing which seems to wear out very quickly are the arm rests. Had it just over 3 years, and this is now what it looks like... an no... i have not been eating my chair!

Oh and one thing i don't like (though i'm sure most chairs are like this), i like that you can lean back, but this chair, you can reaallly lean back! There have been many times where i've jumped out the seat as i thought i'd fall over and somehow impale myself

Think it's the same one if you email the company they should send you replacement arm pads as they have a great warranty according to reviews.

Also no I didn't get the support.

I am finding it sits me up too straight, but I guess that's years of sitting in a gaming bucket chair with no Lumbar Support at all and I'm not used to it haha

@Noxia Current state of the living room project, Can't wait for this to be finished!!!

Have to do the work in stages but went for the Ikea Besta units for my media wall, changed my mind halfway through about the size and layout. Go big or go home, right? So have had to order more bits from them, being delivered next week, for my handyman to finish the build.

I want to install cabinet lights, but wanting something a bit better than the Ikea ones, does anyone have any suggestions for installing Govee lights perhaps?

Once this is finished I'm having a stud partition wall moved to make more space, then it's setting up my dream PC space!

From the ridiculously cheap to stupidly expensive...

An air hammer, complete with chisels for less than £15. It works though and tears off bricks effortlessly. This air compressor is proving to be a most useful purchase.

Bricks (albeit special bricks) to repair a frost-damaged wall. These were expensive enough but the extra two bullnose stop-end bricks were £50 each if I drive and pick them up myself.

The reason for the purchase... And yes, I know ****-all about brick laying so I'm learning as I go :-)

I've had my IKEA Markus for 4yrs now and my wife has done this to the rubber arm rest too. Can't find replacements anywhere! So irritating.

What headphones are you driving with this amp? And what were you using before and is this a big improvement? I'm just using my HD800s on the HDV820 and was thinking of something different, if there's an improvement.
Headphones, DT1990, HD800S, and mainly HD6XX, Amps, I was using Audeze Deckard for many years, then last year grabbed a Violectric V202 which was a nice upgrade but was wanting something a bit more neutral with just a touch of warmth, also the highs were a bit rolled off on the V202 with the HD6XX, the V550 has been utter perfection with the HD6XX improving the soundstage and depth considerably, improved tonality, deep controlled bass, and the last vestige of any 'sennheiser veil' has been eradicated!

Unfortunately I've not tried the HD800S on the amp yet, I know that the V202/222 had amazing synergy with them, if your just using the HD800S then you could save money and maybe grab a Violectric V222, I mainly upgraded to the V550 with get more from my HD6XX which it has provided.

If you are considering the V550 then beware that the 'Pro' version uses a 256 reed relay volume control, so during operation (only) of the volume you will hear faint little noises like a record scratch/pops, these are similar on all amps that use this type of volume tech, the sound comes from switching through all the relays rapidly, the reason for using this is using the relays is so that the audio bypasses the volume control entirely which improves crosstalk interference, and eliminates channel imbalances at lower volume levels, I'm still undecided whether to stick with this one or swap for non-Pro version, using the weekend to decide, I did have a non-Pro version on trail last week and sounded the same to my ears so may switch back.
