Yes it /looks/ comfortable/natural which is what matter.

Do you have it switched on all the time or just at night? Looks like you went for the Basic Pro?

Just when doing productivity tasks or general browsing/writing etc and when the corner/ceiling lights are off.

6500k at night is natural to you? You're a strange one. :P
depends on the CRI value of the backlight whether they seem natural or too blue/red
Hue don't say - their's are 80% but some of the tv/bar backlights are in the 90s (had to replace some hyperikon 93%, now unavailable with samsung 80%'s and you can taste the difference)

To remove any need for controls and faff I got the BenQ screenbar pro, turns on automatically thanks to some ultrasonic sensor and sets the light level according to the room's lighting levels.

Apologies for any dust, lack of professional product placement and framing :-P

Yeah, I have a BenQ Light Bar too, but it will be quite an old model as I've had it... I have no idea... maybe 5+ years? I love it. The only problem with this one, when the sunlight shines into the room, I think it autodetects light levels and turns off. Even in a bright room, I now find it weird if my keyboard isn't the best lit bit of the room!

That's my main desire after using this, the keyboard area to be lit up, I don't like RGB on keyboards unless done right which is Ducky does, a first for Ducky in fact which is nice to see, but I am testing other new keyboards too which don't have this luxury so illuminating the keyboard without using RGB or side/corner lighting when I just want the desk lit up is trivial without the light bar as I've now discovered, this gives a nice comfortable ambience I can work with for productivity and testing etc and the ;light is pure white so no colouration otherwise.

New Dishwasher… I cannot quite put my finger on what caused the previous one to fail but it can’t be down to all those Chicken Pathia’s as I usually lick the plates clean before loading it up

Surprised we're not seeing you post a new throne every six months after the amount of Pathia's posted in the eating thread!

To satisfy the haters, now placed on the back of the monitor to see if it works, it does  - Still prefer it on front though lol.

Apologies, I am not that familiar with light bars, but do you actually mean its fitted behind the monitor as in you can't physically see the bar? I mean, if that is the case, it still works great. I just thought light bars all went along the top of the monitor

Light bar does meant to go on top of the monitor. It's basically a desk lamp with a narrow angle/band so no spill goes onto the screen. The idea of them is they take up less space than a separate lamp. I think people are saying a light behind the screen helps with eye strain too as the light spill around the edge of the monitor helps. Which is why the BenQ Halo have a rear light on the light bar. It's what I use the most. If I am not looking down at the desk, I am not writing anything like that the light bar itself isn't on. I thought the Quintus light bar he has there has a rear light like the BenQ Halo.

Anyway, it looks like I am copying mrk with the headphones...part of my new mac mini upgrade, adding a headphone DAC and amp + cable for my Sennheisers.

Can't speak for other light bars as this is my first experience with one but this one has an articulating base with anti slip underside which rests on the back of the top of the monitor whilst the bar itself hangs over the top aimed at the desk/keyboard. This articulating base can be folded over so the bar can sit "!flat" against a surface, so this is what I did, just rested it against the monitor arm's head as it's flat there:

Yes this bar has two pairs of lights, the main white light which can be colour temp controlled, and a rear pair of RGB lights that can be adjusted too for bias lighting.

You can use it how you prefer I guess but if you are doing to do what you are doing there, there are more tidier solution like the Govee light strip for £20 which does both normal light and full RGB if you want. Controlled by a physical button or the app on the phone.

One thing I would say is due to the curve monitor, you will get light spill to the screen as a result with a straight light bar unless you point it at and angle that doesn't but then you risk pointing a light directly into the eye which is not good.
