Is there a reason why you don't just buy everything at once and get it built? You seem to be collecting parts over what seems like an age :p

The graphics card cost more than a small family car!

I did the same, it's more of a money thing for me, not having all that cash upfront, spread the cost over a few months.

Sweet, I'm looking out for an AK47 de-ac.

What bugs me is a Martini Henry or Lee Enfield which is proper engineering and car are circa £500 where as a stamped from a car bonnet pressed together M16 is £1k......

I'd still love the M16 though :D

The Lee Enfield cost him £400 and the MG42 (posted earlier in the thread) cost him £1500 (+£1300 for a lafette). He is now trying to work out what he wants to add to his collection next lol.
My partner wouldn't be happy if I got any guns :(.

Hi,
Can you buy a de-activated gun without a license?

Yeah, as ajf said :).

Yes, you can.
It must have a certifcate to confirm deactivation and as I recall how it is deactivated varies with age.
I wouldn't go waving it round outside though :p

Correct, deactivation certificate required and method of deactivation depends on what year it was deactivated.
