There's definitely some hideous colour combinations and designs in the Air Max range and it took a while to wade through all of them to find a pair to match my more conservative tastes. Plus, they had £15 knocked off and free delivery.

Where did you buy them from?

Money for my holiday to spain next week.

Where from please? :)

I got them on-line from Foot Locker for £80 but it looks like they've been removed from the website now. Probably for being too YOLO and/or swag. I've only recently found out what those terms mean because I'm dangerously old. When you start buying trainers for comfort you know you're getting on.

They had some in stock a couple of days ago but only in the larger sizes. All gone now though.

Sadly my B+W nano clear filter met end of life last week after a spark landed on it which ruined the AR coating. This is exactly what UV/Clear protection filters are for. New filter time then and this time I went with a Hoya. Bought one for the 35mm too.

Wasn't the B+W around £70? This one (77mm) appears to be £30 on Amazon. I remember being shocked at how expensive a bit of glass was and how I thought it was a rip off, and then got moaned at by a lot of people. The very fact that you've now gone for one £40 cheaper surely proves me right?* :p

*Unless I've got the prices wrong... If so, ignore!

You're right on the price. Saying that, the B+W ones are rarely discounted as heavily as the Hoya ones are!

I don't mind trying out new things. I've had Hoya's HMC filters in the past but not the Pro1 Digital series. At £56 for 2 filters I was prepared to try them out. Compared both brands spec wise and optically they seem to be similar. The B+W has the benefit of having a much thinner frame so on ultra wide angle lenses on full frame cameras there's no chance of vignetting and you can stack filters with less vignetting whereas the Hoya has a large frame so I'll be keeping my eye on how that works out when shooting at 17mm.

If it is a problem down the line I'll just get another B+W for that lens and keep this for when I buy another lens that's 77mm, no big deal :p

I just want to be able to change music and videos etc without having to reach up at the desk :p

Ultimate laziness!

Edit*
Wait, this would work well on my HDTV/HTPC combo :D
