Edrof: That is a really nice Cavalry sword. I am looking for a iirc 1908 pattern cavalry trooper sword and an Officers sword. I am not sure of the pattern I want possibly the 1796 heavy cavalry sabre. Where did you get yours from and a rough price please. I keep nearly bidding on the sale room but always chicken out.

I ordered through Amazon and they didn't dispatch it on release day, so I ended up getting it today instead. I was lucky to get the CE edition as I originally bought pre-ordered the Armour edition and noticed the CE was in stock this week and quickly changed my order.

I really like the contents of the box so far!

Moaned to Amazon and they gave me a 20% refund :D. Eases the pain a little bit.

Hello mate! Nice to meet a fellow collector. I was looking at a couple of 1908 Pattern swords just last week! I didn't see the prices, though. I'd love a 1796 Pattern myself, but I've bought too much militaria recently already!

I got mine from a dealer called Easton Antique Arms. He sells slightly less sought-after items than other dealers so his prices are much more affordable. This 1845 Pattern was £225 originally, but I got him down to £185. He's a nice chap and very knowledgeable on the subject. You can similar swords from £150, but obviously the condition varies.

Which sale room?

I haven't got one officially yet so I can't call my self a collector more a potential collector. I have been advised by some Militaria collectors at work to look at

as they list all the on-line auctions.

Done the whole of both my front and rear lawns by using one them Hollow tine aerators over the Easter holidays and I think it almost killed me...:p

Glad my Hollow tine aerator only had four tubes and not Five like yours....

I did about ten sets of holes earlier and it was a LOT harder than I thought it would be. Lawnsmith.co.uk recommends tine holes every few inches...I think I'll wait until it rains :(.
