That's a very interesting site! So how does it work? You leave 'absentee bids' and if you win they send the item to you?

You have to make sure it is an on-line auction then that they deliver as well or you can pick the item up. You register interest on the item or auction then you do an absentee bid or I think they do on-line as well. Like I said I haven't done it yet.

True.

Broadcasters are still only putting out content in 720p.
Freeview HD is 1080i/p, Sky are in the process of releasing a 4K Sky+ HD box.

Fixed, 4k TVs pointless for 98% of the population, regardless of content.

Doesn't matter if it's pointless. If you have the means it doesn't make sense to buy an inferior 1080p TV. At the very least the TV might have 4K upscaling that will clean up 1080p broadcasts.
