I hate how tied up Sonos have the multiroom market. People who want proper sound have hardly any options.

I actually quite like the options Sonos gives you. You can either:

A. Use a Sonos Connect and then use any source/amplifier/speaker combination you want.

B. Use a Connect:Amp and use any source/speaker you want.

C Use a Play:1, 3 or 5 for an all in one solution.

Something for everyone there from a simple one box solution in the kitchen to the option of using all your existing equipment in the the music room. Covers everything I need really.

Ah, touche touche... I didn't know you could use your original equipment. The ones I've played with have no doubt been set up by fools who do away with everything in place of these small speakers! I do apologise.
