The posh thing checks out tbh :p Posh people prefer just throwing things out and buying new because they have the £££££.

Although then again, if they have the ££££££ they won't sell it.

People who made their money the hard way throw nothing out. People who get money thrown at them throw everything out.

I know self made millionaires and then millionaires who grew up with a golden fork up their arse...guess which is which..

LOL

Cheers

2006/7 Audi RS4
full seats and flat steering wheel
70 odd k miles
forum owned and well looked after
lepsoms wheel refurb black chrome
miltek non res exhaust
fsh with loads of work
434 bhp

best car I have ever owned or driven and I have had a lot. Never owned a Audi before but in comparison I have owned a 2007 BMW and the Audi is miles ahead inside and out.

To be fair apart from the engines, an E9x is hardly the higher end of interior or exterior quality feel compared to something like an Audi :p Gone are those days for the 3 series.

Upgrade on my phone contract. Gone from an HTC One X to an HTC One (M8) Mini 2

Its bigger length wise but narrower than the One X

I have only just realised this is not a picture of two phones next to each other for size comparison. :o

What torch is that? I'm after another small torch (sort of got a torch buying addiction)

It's a cheapy £3 job you can pick up from Amazon/eBay.
This, it was labelled as a cree Q5 mini flashlight. Comes in a variety of colours.

It's an ok little torch, it's leagues ahead in build quality and brightness than anything you'll buy on the high street for the same price, I like the design too. I bought it to go in my camera bag for when I'm out in the dark.

It's a cracking torch for the price, I used it for 5 years at work!

For people that like to get Apple gear on the cheap, buying non-working second hand machines can be a pretty good deal as Geekman discovered. If I hadn't done the poking around and fitted the new part myself I would have put my own Macbook up for spares and repairs and someone could have had a cheap machine that only needed a £30 part.

Exactly - I've been doing this for a while now, and there's plenty of people who don't have the time or inclination to research these things, and end up selling their devices for very little money. In the last few years, I've managed to get a 15" Macbook Pro for £100 (needed a new charger), 13" Macbook Pro for £100 (needed a new keyboard and HDD), 17" Macbook Pro for £70 (casing damage and faulty DVD drive) and a 13" white Macbook for £80 which was in mint condition with nothing wrong with it at all.

I do the same with any kind of phones, laptops, cameras etc and it's a good way to make a bit of money without having to work too hard :p

Bought some Chipolos. To say I am disapoint is a bit of an understatement.... the things barely work. :/

Those "nothing is lost" tags? Shame. Was thinking of getting some for the 20 iPads we have at my school that colleagues keep forgetting to return to me, thus forcing me to spend ages looking for the missing iPads! :D

I think you can make it to make an alarm noise.

You can tell it to make a noise for sure - I just made sure with my iPad.

Cool. I'll have another look then. What happens if the volume is low or muted? Can that be overcome? Will the app make the sound blast out at full volume? I guess you also need another iOS device to do all this?

It doesn't matter if it's on mute, etc. It can be done from www.icloud.com, you'll need to login with the AppleID associated with the devices of course.

Nice one. So I could log in from my work PC, set it to play a sound and then go and listen out for it in the room it's in? Sweet! :)

Silent can be on and it still makes a sound.
Nice.

Yeah, I just muted mine (the side switch which mutes/turns the sound on), it still played at the same volume as before/full volume. You just need an iCloud account which is on the iPad... so I can go on icloud.com and select Find My iPhone, I can then do various things with my iPhone/MBP/iPhone... erase the device, lost mode it (you can enter in a phone number, or I guess put a message saying give it back to you!), or make it sound an alert, essentially.
Lovely. Pays to talk eh? Something to look to do in the summer holidays then.
