After reading Snow Crash, I ordered some more Stephenson books. Also, Bruce Sterling's book about the crackdown on hackers in the late 80s / early 90s.
If you like those, try "Blue Nowhere" by Jeffrey Deaver and "The Cuckoo's Egg" by Clifford Stoll. Both are really good "hacker story" books - and Stoll's book is nonfiction!

Love diamond age, one of my fav books, but i have to say I thought reamde has to be his most 'complete' book - he really sucks at endings in the others...
Funny you should say that. As much as I enjoyed the meat and potatoes of Snow Crash, my first thought when I'd finished reading it was "that ending came on all of a sudden".
