Ha I'm on the other side of the alliance. Novartis ;)

I just live out the back end of St Louis. Altkirch is nice though. Mrs wants to move more out that way but I can't be chuffed with moving. I hate moving.

Oh noes... rivalry time ;)

I look after Roche's global digital signage network.

Not so much involved with the chemical side of things, although I almost did Chem at university.

A couple of my favourite LPs from the 80s on 180g vinyl with DVD-Audio included:

Decided to up my Memory to 16Gb (15.5Gb usable due to shared Radeon Graphics) when a 3D model I was using the other day maxed out my previous 8Gb's

I had to upgrade my system to 16GB because my system was crashing almost everyday because it was running out of memory with only 8GB just by having lots of internet browser TABs open......

Sounds like you have a serious problem there!! Mine would run quite nicely at only 3-4Gb out of that 8Gb, but once I started fettling with Large 3D Models in Inventor it just maxed out at 98% just having it open on screen!

Opened the same model today and it bumbled along at 12Gb nicely! which allowed me to rotate and work on the model!

Just need a bigger Graphics card now! :)

Bit of nostalgia for a lot of you I'm sure! Not the actual one I got, but identical apart from the serial number.

This is graded by a company called PSA that put it in a tamper-proof plastic casing with all the relevant information at the top. As you can see, this is graded 9 out of 10, so it's pretty damn near perfect. However, I only bought it to make some money! Paid £45 and already doubled my money selling it :)

Really? where did you sell if you don't mind telling. I have about 30 or so sitting in the attic. :p

Expensive month...

Also made a big purchase today... :o

Fellow Nexus 5 owner here, I love mine. Stock Android is bliss.

I tried out a N4 a month or so ago and loved it. Royally fed up with WP8.1 so I've ditched it for this, my first ever Android phone as well! :)

No sodding bloatware is brilliant.

Nexus phones have always been good, you'll never look back now.

When you got the Windows phone what did we all tell you?

Heh :p

Tbcfh it was fine for ages. It's the past month it's gone down the pan.

I was getting annoyed at the lack of basic features from 8.0 but knew 8.1 would solve those...

The problem is 8.1 solved those but caused such a boat load of others it rendered the phone practically useless for anything other than texting and calling. So I got rid of it.

Plus the build quality on the Lumia wasn't great...can tell its almost a 2 year old phone...

More vinyl. :) Which turntable are you using?

These are just a couple of additions - I've got a couple of hundred LPs. I mainly got these two for the DVD-Audio discs - I already have the original LPs but they're a bit worn and noisy....I'm sure these 180g pressings will be better.

Turntable is still in the loft - it's a Project 1. Hopefully I'll get it down and set it up with a new cartridge. Then, I need to fix the phono stage on my old Mission Cyrus One...:).

And here's me saving my hard earned to go the other way!! I'm gonna sell my 'Immaculate' Nexus 4 (1st batch and unscratched!) and get a Lumia 830 when it's released! Denim might be just the right improvement over Cyan...

On a note about your 920 not performing well on 8.1, My Wife's 620 is having no problems what so ever! and I don't think it 'Looks' 2 years old!! :p

I have the 925 and it performs just fine on 8.1. Although I don't even know the main differences between 820 and 925 though :o

You need to do it. Quite a few of us have rediscovered how good the sound is and haven't looked back. :)
