Not sure what to do with it. I bought it from Amazon Germany for the steelbook. I thought that I would get the game and steelbook separate however I was wrong. I don't even own a PS4.

Buy a PS4 so you can play the PS4 game you just purchased.

Why buy a PS4 game if you have no PS4 :confused:

It's juts a metal case, Do you collect them ?

You could sell just the disc and manual in a plain case. Or buy a PS4 it's a great game. :)

Yes I collect steelbooks. TLOU Remastered steelbook will be quite rare hence why I bought it. At the moment I only have approximately 60 steelbooks.

I already have an Xbox One as my current gen console so won't be buying a PS4 as I don't like the exclusives. I have a PS3 with TLOU but have not bothered playing it past 2/3 hours yet.

I borrowed my brothers ps3 just to play it it's that good a game I really recommend finishing it

There are a lot of people who collect steelbooks, especially on the collectorsedition.org forums.

I actually wanted to say that it is odder than collecting stamps, but I couldn't put my finger on why earlier on. I think I've got it now.

Stamps, at least old school stamps, became rare as an artifact of their intended purpose - they were largely destroyed or replaced with newer editions, thus increasing the desirability of discontinued and 'non-used' examples. In stark contrast, steel books are goods purposefully marketed as being 'rare' and are released in limited quantities to keep prices artificially high / justify their inflated value. It's just such a weasley and blatantly obvious example of consumerism, clever coporates duping you into paying more for a product. I mean... surely people must realise this! But apparently not. Clever corporates laughing all the way to the bank.

But surely that's like anything? They even release collector edition stamps. Are they worth anything now? No, but will they be worth more in 100 years? yes quite possibly. Least with a steelbook you can double your money(if you want to sell and if its obviously rare enough) a day after purchase.

I 'collect' steelbooks. but not for the sake of collecting them, but because i love the artwork. Usually for a UK steelbook, its only about £5-10 more than the normal bluray, so its hardly breaking the bank.

An example would be the Zavvi Up Vs Blufans Up. Now true i haven't opened the Zavvi one yet, but not because i want to keep it sealed but because i see no point in opening when i already have one open, plus i have the download on my pc. But i Just love the Blufans artwork, the quality of the print ect ect. Pictures really dont do it justice. While the Zavvi, while not being as good, i still like it because its different.
