"they" didn't, i did lol.

turns out even when you arrive at a police station with the criminal with a confession and the evidence it still takes an hour to be seen....

Friend who i'd been staying over with to look after them as they weren't feeling well had been taking my card out of my wallet at night then putting it back in the morning :/

known them about 7 years as well :/

OMG !

Ouch :(

Did they own up randomly or did you find out it was them?

bank phoned and i put two an two together as they had made cash withdrawals in the shop up the road. (dunno how they got pin must have seen over my shoulder in the last few years)

got all the cash back fortunately as they hadn't had time to spend it.

they owned up when confronted.

ordered everything to their name and their address so don't know how they thought they'd get away with it.

need to do a credit check as well now to make sure they haven't taken out any contracts etc, as they were very bit by bit admitting things basically if i didn't already know they'd just mumble and say "oh i don't know"

they tried that with the police and they told them to grow up, they kept at it so they said right **** it you can go in the cell for the night and we'll interview you tomorrow.

and then took a 7 page statement from me.

****ed off that amazon let someone add a card with a different name and different address and then order **** loads of stuff to an address that was not the billing address on the new card :/

as the last transactions were only Thursday, im still checking and having top call the bank as the visa transactions pop up

That's one of the worst betrayals of friendship I've ever heard of. You devote your time to look after him and he does that.

Once it's dealt with, will you tell him you never want to see him again?

Had a similar thing happen to me, I shared a room with a guy on a tour in Cyprus for 6 months in the Army. When I got back home the bank contacted me as several transactions had been made to Microsoft which had flagged up with their fraud department. Turns out the guy had taken the details of my bank card and gone on a shopping spree on Xbox Live when we got back. Shows how much you can trust people.

6 months is a relatively short period of time though, compared to 7 years at least. Trust is an interesting thing.. a double edged sword for sure. =/

As for purchases this month... 15" Retina MBP, well I ordered it but didn't pay (thank god, £2k!) - work laptop.

Picture of migrating from the 13" to the 15". I was surprised about how different the dimensions and weight were. I shall miss the size and weight of the 13" but will enjoy the power of the 15 and its larger screen (though there is a 42" on the wall behind acting as a monitor)

She, not he.

And given her phone was seized as evidence and ive blocked the number the last time ill ever be seeing them again is if I have to give evidence in court.

What really annoyed me ( and the police) is that they wouldn't give a reason just shrugged when asked why they did it.

I actually wanted to say that it is odder than collecting stamps, but I couldn't put my finger on why earlier on. I think I've got it now.

Stamps, at least old school stamps, became rare as an artifact of their intended purpose - they were largely destroyed or replaced with newer editions, thus increasing the desirability of discontinued and 'non-used' examples. In stark contrast, steel books are goods purposefully marketed as being 'rare' and are released in limited quantities to keep prices artificially high / justify their inflated value. It's just such a weasley and blatantly obvious example of consumerism, clever coporates duping you into paying more for a product. I mean... surely people must realise this! But apparently not. Clever corporates laughing all the way to the bank.

What you say is a perfectly valid opinion. However if you go around shopping you will see that most steelbooks are the same price as their normal counter parts. I actually bought a Killzone 2 steelbook today for a pound and a Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway steelbook for £3.

But don't they generally keep the contents of the steelbook? Some people even watch/play them!

This guy just wants to keep the case.

That's because most collectors only really want the case. The contents in all steelbooks will more or less be the same as the plastic case so you can always grab the game for cheap, especially with the prices nowadays.

I'm fuming for tefal right now. There's some scum in this world. I hope it all works out ok for u mate. No wonder the worlds on its arse when people who try to help out just get taken advantage of and shafted.

Crikey Tefal that sounds pants - how long was this going on for!?

Started the Monday got caught on the Thursday.

What's really bad is the first transactions are where I fell asleep for a little nap after work about an hour after I got there while we were waiting for food to be delivered :/
