They are parts for the Zalman TNN-500AF cases, which are extremely rare. Ive been trying to figure a way to improve or design a new block to passively cool a decent GPU but was looking to be very difficult to do / have milled and very expensive for a one off piece.

The CPU heatsinks are much bigger than the GPU ones so thought it might be easier adapting it to fit on a GPU but buying a case for the heatsink is almost impossible, never mind buying the heatsink alone.

So, for me, anyhow its well worth the $400 given the options available. When considering im getting 4 of them plus loads of extras like the gold plated heatpipes (which again would have cost a fortune) was a bit of a no brainer.

I thought they were from those Zalman cases. I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

It seems crazy expensive, but then watercooling parts aren't much different in cost (unless you're buying Bitspower fittings with their pretendland price gouged prices).

Are you doing a log?

I started one about a year ago lol but it was just for the refurbishment of the case and finding spares.

Had some of the panels re-anodized from a local anodizer in Halifax and have been trying to source parts like the case feet and iMon remote which has been a mission. These heatsinks turned up on eBay on Thursday so snapped them up (TBH I had given up on finding a CPU block)

I'm waiting on Intels 14nm broadwell or skylake and on the GPU side a jump down to 20/22nm before i do another build log. Max CPU wise it can cool is around 100w and on the GPU side was 60w. But with this new CPU block modified the GPU I can use will go up to around a 100w. The 970/980 GTX cards are extremely efficient on 28nm (145TDP) so I'm expecting 22nm Maxwell GPUs to be perfect.

Yea from reusetek.com I think, they specialize is refurbished / decommissioned stuff.

Very lucky how I found it but again literally it was impossible to find, I was googling images of the remote on about the 6th page and clicked on the link and took me to the site. Then they wouldn't ship to the UK, so had to sign up to one of them services which gives you a US address (Cant remember the name) and it was shipped there, they then posted it to me.

The case foot I had to buy a different model version from the US and given it was the same size casing I was able to switch it over for my rusted part.

Bought a blown TNN power supply (just for the shell) from yahoo auctions japan and used another re shipping service and a few item from eastern Europe from companies who only accepted balance transfer as payment lol but they turned out good.

Proper world wide scavenger hunt :)

Haha, sounds like some big effort. I asked about the control because I think I've got one around, and I'm sure that would have been easier. :p

Nah just on the back burner as I knew I wasn't going to build till 14nm and 20nm so just been picking stuff up along the way.

Someone offered me a remote on here before (really nice of them) but the one I need (keeping it all authentic) was different.

If yours looks like this i'd be interested though lol because along my search I bought another TNN case from a University in Idaho surplus sale. It weighed 40KG and somehow I managed to convince one of the guys at the university to ship it to me for what turned out to be very cheap given they had a contract with FedEx.

Anyhow remote looks like this

Been an expensive month and did succumb to a couple of Black Friday deals.

New Golf Bag and clubs. 2015 Nexus Standbag and Wilson Staff Di11 irons:

Pebble watch and golf GPS. Not sure if I will keep both but the Swing by Swing app and Stroke Keeper seem pretty useful:

Footjoy FJ Sport Spikeless. Bad luck to put new shoes on the dining room table so made sure they got worn in yesterday :p :

Also bought some Nike Storm waterproofs and a PS4 but way too much mammon for one month left me feeling excessive as I was taking the pics :p
