I'm rather confused as well. Iron Warrior what is going on in that anime?

You guys really confused? This wiki page explains it, it's what they call Moe Anthropomorphism

To sum up, all these girls you have been seeing are in reality, ships. They have taken "human" form and have life and everything but still keep their ship traits.

So in case of Yamato, she is seen as a mature women of 20+ who has large "parts" and her 46" guns are attached to her body hull, while the submarines are seen in sukumizu (Japanese school swimwear) and carry torpedos. Other ships for example Akashi who has cranes attached to her befitting her repair role. The Aircraft carriers look like Japanese Archers and carry bows which shoots planes etc.

In a real simple way, you could describe them as mascots of the ships, but calling them mascots isn't really accurate.

Things like this are pretty common in Japan, you will find "Moe Anthropomophisms" for everything, even the public services like the Police Force and the Military services have their own characters.

Some services even offer limited gifts/awards of manga/anime if you sign up or join them.

Outstanding.

Still confused I took to wikipedia to try and understand it a bit better but I'm out after this sentence.
These personified warships are based on real-life vessels which are explained in detail within the game; the physical characteristics, appearances and personalities of each of the girls correlate in some way to the real-life vessel (for example, ships with a larger displacement tonnage are often depicted with larger breasts

Is there a bunch of North American anthropomorphic battlesluts that just steam over there, invite your Japanese girlies to a party at someplace named, oh I dunno, Midway; and then just totally **** them over?

Makes sense right, check out Atago. :p

I don't get it, but there is some Russian and German ships, Bismarck being the major one in the game. :p

Batteries, you can never have too many batteries.

The Akashi and Yamato were sunk by US Naval forces during WW2. The Battle of Midway was a huge naval engagement in which the North Americans drubbed the Japanese fleet.

Now, with anyone else I'd think they were split into those little groups of two and four just because that's the way they rolled when you put them on the desk. Not with you, there's some method behind it. I guess what I'm saying is:

mrk: Why have you split the batteries up into little groups? :)

I found a solution to a problem by creating a system is the short answer :p

Long version is you'll notice there are coloured dots on every battery. 2 dots, 1 dot, 3 dots. They're families and will be used for specific devices, in my case all photographic speedlites and remote triggers/receivers. Some will get used more than others so will be re-charged more often. These batteries retain the bulk of their charge over long periods (up to 5 years) but because of that they have a limited number of charge cycles so I want to make sure I get the best out of that feature by not recharging them all mixed resulting in uneven wear

Already posted in the Airsoft thread so I don't know if anyone in here would care but I took an extra picture just in case :p

G&G GK74 with a brown AK47 magazine in the first picture, site didn't specify and just labelled it as AK magazine so there's that but it's not much of an issue as it's airsoft so it works just fine. I need to find a different way to store my guns now though as this was for when I only had one.

mrk are those eneloops? I have some of those for my speedlite but I think they are defective... just don't seem to be discharging at all! ;)
Good thinking with the colour-coding btw!

Always wanted to get into Airsoft, but it's expensive to start up, no different to my Kendo really, but I was lucky there.

How much do your weapons normally cost you?

You can rent the kit you need at the sites for a smaller cost, but to buy decent stuff you do need to splash the cash a bit. Good-quality starter AEGs can be had, new, from £140+ or thereabouts.

The AK74 also had a brown Bakelite magazine.

It can be expensive to start off with but the main problem comes from when you've properly got into it and then you start buying more and more. I own those 3 rifles and also two pistols so I've not quite got to that stage yet as this AK is the first gun I've bought in years. Generally pistols cost about £100 each and rifles are anywhere from £150-500 depending on what you're buying. My two Pistols were £70 and £100 and the AR-15 was £200, G36C was £200 and the AK was £300 but it did come with two batteries and a charger which most don't include so that was probably about £60 worth of stuff there. Most of the guns that include batteries tend to be Chinese ones and they generally aren't very good anyway.

The main obstacle to getting into it other than cost is probably site / UKARA membership because without one of those no one is going to sell you anything unless you want a half clear/brightly coloured one which thinking about it maybe you do.

This could be you.

Yeah and that one is a high-cap anyway so I bought it more for how it looks, I'm having trouble finding brown AK74 midcaps though so I might have to order some from China so I look forward to some customs charges.
