Same here and I have never ever heard it running.
Jinxed I think as this morning when I turned the PC off the PSU whined. Disconnect the mains and the whine goes away after a minute. Looks like RMA time. Luckily it has 7 years warranty and was bought in 2011 so I'll get it replaced and sell the replacement on MM. Fancy one of those SuperFlower ones from OcUK that JohnnyGuru really really likes

Oh great, an SMB! That's cleared it up!
Bingo. It rolls up to go in a pocket/pouch which is attached to you, you have one end already tied to the reel, when you want to be picked up by the boat, send the SMB up (fill it up with air exhausted from your reg) and let it go. Reel unravels and then you close the rachet to hold it shut and tight. Keeping the air in, then all things being well the boat comes and picks you up and doesn't run the SMB over
