What size have you gone for? Prospected fish / invert / coral inhabitants. Are you on reefcentral?

New laptop which actually arrived yesterday. Aluminium chassis / shell. 13" 1080p screen. i5-5200u. 8GB DDR3 1600. Currently only has the 500GB HDD I ordered it with in it as I'm going to butcher my mac mini and take the Samsung 830 out of it to put in the laptop.

New 10" from Serein arrived this morning along with a couple CDs from Japan.

This is what the vinyl sounds like.

And this is what the Japanese albums sound like;

Unfortunately while only forming in 2012 and two albums, Uchu Conbini (Outer Space Convenience Store) announced that they will be breaking up despite the hype that was surrounding them at home and from the west in Post Rock / Math Rock circles. So when I heard that I immediately ordered the CDs before they were sold out / out of print and end up being ridiculous money on Discogs second hand.

That laptop looks nice... can I ask which make and model it is?

No idea who the original manufacturer is, but it's from a UK re-seller of Clevos and is called the Lafite. Cost me £510 with 2GB of RAM and without Windows installed. I put the 8GB in myself as I had it lying around and currently I'm running Linux on it.

I suspect the original manufacturer is Lengda as they've made 14" aluminium models in the past. And the place I got it from resells a Lengda 2-in-1 rebranded as Sigma.

Those sounded very good through my PC and sony headphones - bet they sound superb through top end HiFi
Sounded loads better than U2 and Simple minds LP's quality wise.

Where did you bring it from?

Compared to other aluminium ultrabooks it's a bargain. Believe. I looked. I was searching for something as a replacement for Macbooks I've had. If I could have found an ultrabook with the same specs for less, I'd have bought it.

The price also includes the coverage of postage to Northern Ireland, from the mainland, which as Northern Irelanders we're always getting ****ed on, be it from OCUK, or where I got this laptop from. Also includes the cost of bumping warranty coverage of machine and screen.

So in reality for the actual piece of hardware itself, you're looking at much less than the £510 I paid for it. The i3 version can be had for closer to £400. Which is even more of a bargain.

I've gone wireless
