Bought this 70d:

Taken with my new 6D (not pictured).

Well chuffed with both, but might sell on the 70d and keep the 6D

Oh yeah - got the 24-105 f4 L lens, but should have the 50mm f1.4 USM arrive on Monday also. Will have a bit of a bakeoff with both bodies then and decide if I should keep both.

The 70d came up at a good price and I bought it 2nd hand (I'd given up getting a 6d for a reasonable price). 2 days later the 6d came up, also at a great price and 2nd hand.... unfortunate timing, but had to be done.

I actually meant ultimate reef lol, it's so much better than reef central.

I'm tempted to start again, i've got a corner in my room that would fit a 2x2x2 in nicely ;)
 
Managed to nab a Sonos Playbar off eBay this afternoon :D

Been eyeing one of these up for 6 months now but couldn't bring myself to pay full price and discounts on Sonos are hard to find.

Didn't come with the optical cable though, so I still need to order 4 optical cables and and switcher from amazon so I can connect the TiVo box, FireTV and actual TV to the switcher, and the switcher to the Playbar.

Ah yes been reading them to with new reefer threads:)
I only had to buy the Mrs a table and chairs to justify the new tank:D

On my shopping list too, just picked up the cheap Sonos Play 5 from Amazon Spain to add to a 1 and 5 I've already got.

The playbar is an odd one though. Bound to be updated to HDMI audio and high def formats as its starting to look very limited.

Exactly! I was scared to shell out full price in case they release a hardware update in the coming months. The current version has remained the same for the last few years, although of course all the software has updated.

I live in a tiny studio apartment, so this one device will hopefully blow me away without the need for any other speakers. Although if I find a good deal on a Play 1 I might see if I can pop one in the kitchenette so I can listen when I cook without cranking up the Playbar too loud :)

I usually get what I want where the missus is concerned, if I decide I want something, I usually get it. Watch this space...
 
As I "may" have put a little weight on recently I got a whole new set of clothes (trousers, shirts, suit jacket, socks etc) for the office so I splurged on some quality 100% cotton stuff rather than my usual cheap polyester mix. Lets see how long these last! I also bought some new Jeans too for the same reason. Next up will be some new T-Shirts from UberTorso I think ready for the summer.

Also bought a Bluefin for my Mondeo for a little extra power.

Must have really put on some weight if you've needed to remap your car!

Definitely wouldn't mind hearing more about this setup

I have the same two machines as yours and have been looking at external soundcards for a while.

Well the iMac plugs directly into the X7 via the USB, the Sound Blaster software is quite comprehensive and even allows you to change the impedance on the headphones. I haven't used it on the rMBP as there's no need, although you can connect to the X7 over bluetooth so could connect it quite easily (including to the iPhone if I was that way inclined + there is an X7 iPhone app).

There's optical in/out on the back, which is the only way to connect it to the PS4 as there isn't a bluetooth profile on the PS4 to let it talk to the X7 that way :(

Anything else in particular you want to know?
 
That's great :)

I guess my only other concern would be software, I remember Creative having particularly awful software back when I had an X-Fi, so I'd be worried that the Mac support would be even worse
