Remove the fan hub at the back of the motherboard tray and swap the default fans for some PWM's. The fan hub runs all fans at 100% so gets loud.
Got my peli case, time to take my new camera the top of mountains![]()
That's great![]()
I guess my only other concern would be software, I remember Creative having particularly awful software back when I had an X-Fi, so I'd be worried that the Mac support would be even worse
New cardtoyed with the idea of a 290x after the whole RAM fiasco, but the more I found out the more the GTX 970 fit the bill. It replaces a very old HD6870. So far I'm impressed with the performance, and by how incredibly quiet it is compared to the Twin Frozr II thing that was on the 6870. I'm pleased.

Its been an expensive month:
That photo of the 970 is great! Have they come down in price since the RAM fiasco?
I read yesterday that a major e-tailer in America along with a major online shop in the UK have started to give 20% refunds to people who bought one.
Wow, that's all you get?
Also, congrats on new GC @T0pPredator . Hope it serves you well![]()
I've used the ZxR headphones and sound card on my PC and found the software to be 'ok'; sufficient for what its there to do but a little buggy. The X7 software on the Mac is on the same level as the PC version, still some bugs when you try and do a sound test but they can be overcome and the changes made. I've experienced worse when using motherboard software bundles tbh.
Obviously it hasn't put me off buying Creative products!
