Hah! Actually not too much to make the upgrade once the old one goes. I got the 5K iMac for £1,440 on the Bay and should be able to shift the older one for around £800.

I like ridiculously huge cases. This is the only way I can achieve that for reasonable prices.
Also it kills the upgrade bug. I can't really get any bigger apart from importing Case Labs from America, and the cost + import taxes make that prohibitively expensive for me atm.

As a transformers collector, this turned up yesterday. Had him on pre order for a while, and he's marvellous.

Robot mode trying to emulate the original 1986 figure (with a slight mistransformation that I only realised after taking the picture)

Some die-cast, mostly plastic. Doesn't suffer from it though. I have both the big (MP1) and smaller (MP10) Optimus Prime Masterpiece moulds, and though die-cast was massively cut back between them, there is little loss - it means MP10 is much easier to pose and mess around with, though MP-1 has a nice solid weight to it.

I do believe the original Ultra Magnus was plastic armour on the plastic and die-cast inner figure?

It should read: Bad mayor, worse Autobot leader, and subsequently minor character Ultra Magnus

From my hazy memory I think you're right, yeah.

I went through a spell of collecting the new Japanese diecast figures a while ago. Few inches tall, can't remember the name of the series. Think the oldest boy has wrecked them now though.
