I bought the exact same one just after christmas and still using it regularly.
I would agree on the ice, it's just not right without that slight chill.

My go to smoothie at the moment is a nice simple 1x Banana, 1x Kiwi, 4x Strawberrys, honey, cinnamon, almond mild and a couple of ice cubes

Have you made a good 'salad' one yet or 'vegetable' one?
I might start a thread in La Cuisine sub forum.

Cheers, I can see this becoming a bit of a money pit with all the bits I want for it but what the hell!

Mr Fedex arrived this afternoon bearing two boxes, one of which nearly killed him and which I had to unpack in the hall. It had the tripod, mount, weight(s), and all the other bits to do with the mount.

Just unpacked the tripod which is quite substantial and left the other bits in their boxes:

The telescope tube came in the other large box:

and some reading which gives you an idea of how it looks:

Didn't want to go any larger as this is still portable if you have it in bits.

I was going to wait until summer but as I said a bargain came along and after a week of deliberation it got bought.

Won't have time to unpack and play for another week but seeing as I've waited for years to get one it doesn't matter.

There is a price to pay with various projects to be done around the house and garden but that's a small price to pay. :D

Very Very nice, great mount as well :)

Cosimo...may I dare asking how much? £5k?

Not that much, great price great optics.

Very nice Cosimo. My dad used to have a telescope(god knows what make and brand) years ago as my parents lived in the countryside with no streetlights near them for about 5 miles.

Very jealous of you :)

I would want a house in the middle of nowhere to take full advantage of it, knowing me I would be too lazy to move it once assembled.

£1,300 suddenly becomes £200k. lol

True, although you can get light filters, that would do as a start.
Make a little observatory in the garden, linked up to a computer indoors. Lazy astronomy.
