Running low on SSD space so the old but very reliable Samsung 830 series got an upgrade.

I chose this Intel one because it has a skull printed on the front. Skulls define death and deadly performance. I am going to be pwning noobs on TF2 like there's no tomorrow.

Better recognise.

Have you finally lost your marbles? :p

What size is it?

Intel 730 series 480GB. My mobo isn't new enough to support M2 slots sadly.

Bit of a boost in the write department. Bizarrely the Samsung has zero bad sectors and is at 89% health. It has over 1100 days power on time with only 150 power cycles. It might just be one of the few remaining older gen SSDs in the best of health. Might slap it on MM next week, might bung it into a USB3 mini enclosure and put it to use...

Keep it as a swap/general usage drive?

That life will have it going for a good while yet... no need to get rid and you will get a crummy percentage of what you paid for it... really.

I have the same drive... since replaced by a pair of 480GB Intel 730s and then picked up a Samsung SM951 512GB...

The 830 is going strong and was used as a primary work drive for years... has similar figures to yours, good reliability for an SSD :)

Could be a useful swap/active drive for another decade...

Yeah the Blue one is interior 20kg per roll and Red is exterior 120kg per roll, I wouldn't go mounting barbell plates to the wall or anything but it seems to be working well on my motorcycle license plate :D

Constantines stuff mentioned earlier in the thread arrived.

Just need their second EP The Modern Sinner Nervous Man, a couple singles and the split with The Unintended, which is Constantines playing Neil Young covers and Unintended playing Gordon Lightfoot covers. Not currently on discogs and hasn't gone for less than £25. And there's one copy on fleabay for $99 from the US. Only 1000 pressed.
