It's for recording/streaming console gameplay, not PC gameplay.

You could use Shadowplay to record the gameplay, but nVidia GPUs don't have HDMI in afaik .

Yeah, quite a few streamers use a capture card and a separate PC to stream their PC gameplay since it means that they can have higher settings on the game than they'd be able to if they were to play and stream on one PC.
