I'm being thick, I think you need to explain.

Ahh sorry, it's a running joke in the retro gaming community, the original PSX controller was actually a Super Nintendo controller* modified with an extra pair of L buttons, ergonomic grips, and a slim connector. Sony have been tacking more things onto it for 20 years now, but it was 5 years old when they used it.

That pad does look badass though :D

*The Playstation was originally a joint venture between Nintendo/Sony before Nintendo pulled out and went with their Ultra 64 plan. The original development Playstations used SNES pads, hence why early ports like MK3 have identical cheat codes/etc.

Oh I see, I was totally unaware of the running joke.

Fully aware though it started out as a JV with Nintendo.
