An electric heater to cope with the chillier days. It's a 1.5kw oil-filled heater, and really does a great job at pumping out heat!

Karl, could you please take a photo of the bottom of your desk towards the back?

Or let me know if you think I could safely saw approx 10cm off the back without affecting anything. I'm looking to get one of those, but stock it's too deep at 80cm for where I want to put it. My nearest Ikea is about an hour away and I can't find any pics online.

Why? When you have a radiator right next to it?

I work from home, the room's quite small, the house is very large, and I don't want to heat the whole house for 8 hours a day when I'm the only one at home. :)

Hi! I did actually (eventually) reply in the desk thread - You should've Trust-messaged me and I'd have seen it. :)

I'm not sure you'll get away with taking 10cm off, as the brackets that attach the legs to the worktop go quite a long way back.

I think it must have been a mistake by Philips.

The entire box was sealed with do not open sticker and the contents listed 2 lights and a bridge, when it's actually 2 sets of 2 lights and bridge.

So a Philips error, not an Amazon error. Does that mean I can keep it and sleep at night? :D

Oh! Thank you! Sorry, I must have missed it. Got a bit distracted over the holidays anyway.

Hmmm...Good point about the legs. Will have to have another think :)

.

Turn thermostat down on other radiators, turn the one in that room up. Therefore you aren't heating the whole house and gas central heating is much more energy efficient than an electric radiator.

Plan B. Fit a log burning stove. Toasty. :)

This handy blighter, much cheaper than a GoPro, less battery life but I'd be only using it for a short while at a time

Unfortunately I don't actually get him until he has eaten at least once, but hopefully that should be within the next couple of weeks now.

So that girl wearing a tiny skirt, holding the string from her underwear and her arse on display is supposed to be a boat? Seems legit.
