New deactivated pistol:

Walther PPK-L.

Needs to be real! none of this deactivated crap! :D

How hard is it to reactivate them? Are they properly mauled or is it simply a case of new firing pin and job done?

Usually the barrels are welded shut and firing pin's are taken out from what I remember.

Way more than that. :)

For instance, my deactivated SMLE (bolt-action rifle) has a long section removed from the barrel, a steel rod welded into the barrel for most of its length, a slot cut into the chamber, a steel rod welded across the chamber (so nothing can be chambered), the firing pin cut off, the bolt-face cut off at an angle, and the extractor gone. The only thing you could use to make a functioning firearm is the wood of the stock!

Has anyone used the Page & Cooper watch shop website before? I received an e-mail saying: "we are merely awaiting an imminent delivery from ________’s manufacture in Switzerland". How long does it normally take? Days, weeks or months?
