It's still incredibly popular for business use.

IT is changing - xenmobile, or rather mobile device management is now edging out blackberry.

I manage our MDM solution and 75% of the managed devices are iPhones for email use (and also private applications via app controller)

Blackberry and BES are deadwood. Shame really, I used to like blackberry devices but the new ones are just not up to iPhone standard

Picked this up in the local discount book store - not bad for £7.

I really hate BES servers. We don't have many BES (Enterprise) users but the amount of time spent trying to coax the BES servers to work properly is crazy!

Conversely many more users on activesync, from those hardly a sound :)

It's no wonder that BES is dying, at least if they make it work with Android they should be able to use Activesync for mail sync.

This is pretty neat. Shows the voltage, current and wattage draw from any USB device connected to a particular USB power source.

Some cables are worse than others, some chargers are worse than others. This will weed them out if you've got many hoarded over the years.

Yes I found many USB chargers are terrible for being over rated...

Example
spec on one would say 2.1 amp output and it would really only output something like 1.2amp...
I bought one 2.1amp usb charger that really outputs only about 0.8amp :(

Indeed. I work for a tech company in the US and our MDM solution is used for all corporate (and many personal opt-in) Android, Windows Surface/Phone and iOS devices. It works great for us.

I refuse to give up my blackberry for a few simple reasons. At my company there is an expectation that you will provide your own device to use. But as far as I am concerned if they want to contact me outside of hours and want me to be able to work then they should provide the tools for me to do so. I don't see why I should have to ensure I have a working device and my own data tariff to subsidise the company business.

Sure supply me with an iphone or android phone etc to do that. But there seems to be pressure to simply install the company apps on your own to save them money.

The current (amps) is completely dependent on what the thing it's plugged into is drawing at the time. When it says 2.1A that just means that it's capable of supplying *up to* 2.1A. So if you're getting a reading of 0.8A that just means the thing it's plugged into is only drawing that much.
