My old (cheap) ones had split soles and were only a few months old. Have just binned them

If you have any significant distances to walk, I.e. Between home to station and station to work, I'd get something like a pair of walking boot and leave the nice leather sole shoe at the office. Otherwise the pavement will make that nice leather sole into mince meat in no time. It's what I do. Rubber sole for the commute and leather sole shoe at work. The rubber one lasts like 9 months and like £25 a pair, nothing fancy.

Vintage Tamiya goodness, when you open the box it smells like Beaties, circa 1991.

I wanted one as a kid but got a Madcap instead. Would still like one but haven't the space for anymore RC's!

Exams are over, I can finally get this

Tomorrow I've decided after a MASSIVELY tough week to shut the phone/laptop down and game. I've not done that for years but I am planning to PC it to death tomorrow, might even do a pants only game fest, proper old school.

Half of me wants to do this, the other half not. Its like the people that save their expensive watches (or anything else expensive) for special occasions only. I wear my expensive watch daily, if it was sat in my draw I would feel like its not getting the use it deserves. The same as leaving shoes under my desk at work.

I've always done this where I can - you can even buy trainers than look close enough to work shoes. Your nice shoes will be scuffed and worn in no time.

You'll still wear your nice shoes for 7/8 hours in the office and only the not so nice one for like an hour or 2.

It's nothing like the watch analogy. If you can afford to spend £150 on new shoes every 3 months, up to you.

Awesome seeing the tamiya! My first proper rc was a tamiya scooby wrx in 1998 or so.

This arrived today!

Its a Christmas present for me, by me. I'm scared my 2 and a half year old is going to assume ownership!

Dang, all these rc motors is really making me want to grab one! I built a tamiya car with my dad a few years ago. It was brill! Want some sort of truggy offroad sort of thing I think.

Edit. Infact the exact model I had was the tamiya 1998 ford escort repsol rally car :D

Someone gimme some ideas of something I can get for my mum for about £40 odd, because I'm absolutely stumped. Cheers, my young and predominantly white Internet friends...

"Fully assembed" where's the fun in that? :D

Least if you build it part by part it's a lot easier to fix when you crash it and it breaks.

Essentially the same song.

Top one, Markus Nikolai - Bushes
Bottom one, D.A.G.O - Bush Lied / Kerry Loves

Didn't think too much of the red white and blue label on the second one but on closer inspection it has paid for by the central committee for american honesty! with a new york po box on it. For the life of me i really don't know why!

Political background tune!

Its ready to race but you can change out all of the components! :D

My first nitro, can't get excited by electric rc cars these days, after seeing a well tuned nitro doing 50mph plus brushless just seems too lifeless!

Warning, rotting potato camera

New (2nd hand) laptop, by god it's massive, perhaps should have only gone 15". CPU should be over 3x speed of old laptop, gfx card is very similar though.
