Very nice, Cosimo. Do they do the Connaught Type B race car yet? I'm desperate for a model of that as my wife's granddad was an engineer on it.

The only Connaught I've seen is what appears to been an old model by Merit:

You probably won't find one but with patience you never know. Have you tried looking for a painting or a print?

Good luck with your search. :)

You might find this Peter Hutton in a larger size:

Nice wheels

Where did you get the display case for the cars? im after one for a 1:18 F1 model

That one is the CMC collector showcase for 1:24 and 1:18 models from:

http://www.jacksonsmodels.co.uk/cmc-a004-display-case-with-wooden-base-perspex-lid-118-scale.ir

Model details:
◾Wooden base:330 (l) x 170 (w) x 25 (h) mm
◾Massiv polished high grade timber
◾Base is covered with velvet
◾Acrylic cover:300 (l) x 143 (w) x 113 (h) mm
◾Hand glued acrylic cover with rounded edges extra strenghtening at the corner

Do a search for "CMC-A004-Display-Case" on ebay. Came next day timed delivery.

It is expensive but is top quality. You can get much cheaper ones for as little as £8.99.

Plasma, I'd love all those models and I don't mind making them but I don't have the time or skill to paint them up properly. :(

Connaught stuff

Thank you so much - I've ordered one of the illustrations and I'll search for that model. Very much appreciated, Cosimo! :)

I find models impossible to paint properly using only paintbrushes. Investment in a decent airbrush is a must. My new one has made life so much easier for me. Get a really nice finish.

After trying to paint my Matilda with four paints and a brush I can only agree! The trouble is, I'd want to do it to a high standard and that means investing in too many things.
