It has come to my attention that some people on this forum have remarkable tastes in footwear!! :p

Bit the bullet

]

We have one, they're really easy to use and clean.

I like spinach, flak seeds, banana, Apple, grapes, tomatoes, pineapple, orange juice and pomegranate juice.

It says to blend it all together. I like to blend the solids first then blend the juice in after. It reduces the likelihood of it being "bitty".

Bit the bullet

I bought the Salter equivalent (Nutri Pro) a month ago, cost £31 new with a 25,000 rpm 1000 watt motor. Did want the nutribullet originally but couldn't justify the extra cost for essentially just the brand name. Salter has solid reviews across the board which can't be said for the cheaper equivalents, went for the middle ground pricewise.

However both are solid pieces of kit and hope you enjoy using it.

Lovely - which model did you go for?

Can't beat Gretsch. Tried many over the years but for some reason never bought one (I have no idea why!)

Hollowbody is the way to go too!

This might sound terrible, but I don't have a clue :D

I'd been playing on a guitar with a floyd rose bridge I bought when I was 17 and finally snapped when changing the string gauge and went to the guitar shop haha

Hollowbody is defiantly something, really great sound and I've been trying more fingerpicking type songs as a result

So with an 'official' seal of approval we have a new 55" TV:

It's the latest all singing and dancing Sony HDR 4K Ultra HD 3D model. It does a great job of upscaling content, 4K content looks superb and the sound is very good. Not had a chance to play with all the settings as we've just sat there for hours watching recordings and films!

All it now needs is Sky Q, a UHD Blu-ray Player and Sky Q's UHD service which is coming in the summer.

The model number has to be on there somewhere! :p

I'm looking for an electric next, I picked this up on Friday for my travel around acoustic (awful Samsung A5 camera) -

Just bought that blender. Already boxed it and sent it back. An absolute load of junk. Poorly made. Leaked and I can't see it lasting more than a month of proper use.

Of your objective was to save money on a nutri bullet and eventually put it in the cupboard never to be seen again then it's good value compared to what you'd spend on the nutri bullet. If you are actually going to use it then I think you'll be disappointed.

I've never heard of Nutri bullet, i just needed a blender for a specific purpose and this is the one that was most recommended for it. So i bought it.

Haven't used it yet but your post is the first bad thing i've read about it so i'm not too worried :)

Another Breville blender user here. Ours has been used 6 or 7 times a week since Christmas and still going strong. No complaints here! It's a quarter of the price and has an advantage in the fact that you blend straight in a sports bottle that can go in your bag when you head out the door.

Not sure why you'd buy a nutribullet tbh

I'll give you a run down.

I've been blending every morning for the last couple of months using a hand held blender we have had since the kids have needed all their food whizzed up. This one leaks and is pretty poor at blending. So we decide to buy another, the wife as they do says her friend has a nutribullet and they are really good etc etc etc, me as a man says there's no way i'm spending that on a blender, bit of research on here and amazon and buy a cheaper version.

Open it up to blend my first and it promptly leaks everywhere and the innards of the connection to the base are really loose. Frankly I've had better quality kids toys from a cracker (mild exaggeration)

Wife says 'told you so' blender goes back in box, I walk into town and buy the nutribullet which I should have in the first place really.

What I've done is wasted quite a bit of time researching and now taking the box back to the post office plus walking into town when I should have just ordered the nutribullet from Amazon and had it delivered straight to the door.

Same with the Salter version I have, 3 cups with it, all with sports caps as required. I think the Nutribullet has this though.

Just had a check, normal nutribullet is ~£70'ish, thought my salter was the equivalent. Turns out the nutribullet equivalent is the Pro 900 which is over £100.

So i've got a virtually identical machine with a slightly more powerful motor, the same build quality for less than a third of the price. At a glance you'd think they were the same machine as well.

I bought a Nutri ninja on a wimp a couple months back, it's been great, strong enough motor to blend ice, does not leak, very sturdy and feels very solid and build quality seems very good.

Easter chocolate find :D
