Oem cpus normally always come like that. Would have had a thick piece of foam ontop to take up the gap.

Ive even recieved a cpu from ocuk in part of a cpu tray cut off and the cpu taped (iirc) to the tray. Youd do well to harm one as theres no moving parts.

Quite why youd spend that much however on a cpu is the real question. Unless it was a tax right off or you do a crap load of rendering
I completely agree with you, but I must admit I didn't think about any packaging on top of the CPU - and thinking about it, it'd only need a few pieces of anti-static bubble wrap. Maybe I just too expect much, given the price of the CPU (over £1,000). :D

Can we move on from the discussion of photographs and how we do/do not like them taken. This is a thread for items recently purchased and discussion of them not of the photography skills or otherwise of the poster. If you're that fussed on going over that old coconut perhaps start a new thread or even venture into the photography section. Cheers.

As has already been asked, please keep things on topic.
A gentle reminder for those who feel the need to keep bringing up other posters photography skills or lack thereof (I realise the posts were from last night but I've only just seen them ;) ).

Broke my smartwatch virginity (and first watch I'll hopefully wear too!)

Does that work with the iphone yet?

I would be less than happy about receiving a CPU flapping all over inside a box. I know it's not as susceptible to knocks like harddrives are, but I expect to receive goods packaged properly.

All OEM CPUs come in a box like that. They have a piece of foam on top of them that holds them securely.

The poster has likely removed this for the photo to show you the processor .

You probably don't need to worry yourself excessively about the status of the posters hardware.

Those are quite affordable, easily worth just throwing about.
