Important Announcement regarding deliveries to Scotland/Newcastle upon Tyne/York only. Due to adverse weather conditions our couriers are unable to guarantee delivery before Christmas for the above areas only. ALL other areas are unaffected.

Well, I have placed an order just this afternoon so will be very interested to see how long it takes to arrive :).

I'm not going to moan if it doesn't arrive in time for Christmas, though it will be kinda unfortunate if it doesn't.

So this new announcement from DPD is for orders placed now or those of us in them areas already waiting for a delivery from them from the past week or two?

Snap, mine`s stuck in the local Depot too,in Sheffield, been there 2 days now. With no apparent reason why it can`t be delivered. No more DPD for me.It`s a joke,OCUK let us know about what DPD are doing before they do.There was supposed to be an update at 2pm on their site, still nothing!.What really takes the mickey is the fact that one of their Vans has been on my Sisters road today.I always buy from OCUK when i`m over in the UK because the level of service back home is a total shambles. Thanks to DPD,OCUK`s reputation may take a hit.

My brother ordered a complete system yesterday to be delivered to Newcastle for xmas, he was told by overclockers yesterday afternoon that delivery would be on thursday. looks like thats not going to be the case, or never was going to be the case.

DAMN YOU DPD ///shakes fist/// this could mean no shiney 6970 for xmas,

what other methods can ocuk use to guarantee delivery?

Should be here before Xmas, they just cant guarantee it.

DPD delivery services to the rest of the country will continue, and collections from Scotland, Newcastle and York for delivery outside of these areas will continue.

cant realy understand this  if they can collect parcels from these areas - how come they cant deliver them in these areas

i think they should suspend collecting and concentrate on getting the parcels delivered they allready have

all the best mike :(

The depot for West Sussex in Crawley is a shambles, piles and piles of parcels just laying about and more being dumped all the time - the drivers are saying that 8 days is how long we will be waiting for next day delivery. Seems DPD where operating right on the limit before the snow hit, and what with Christmas bringing additional load they have completely lost the plot. I think that since they won scanners contract too they have been stretched to thin and have not invested in expanding the infrastructure, particularly I think they have not planned for the busy period of the year all that well.

any chance of a better rate from ocuk on royal mail special delivery in the mean time?

wanting to order a 6970 tommorow am but i'll be damned if i'm paying £12 for delivery :(

Yes, that would make absolutely fantastic business sense...

well you havent been waiting two weeks for a next day delivery have you ;) and promised it for four days in a row - how come they are still collecting if they cant manage to post the parcels they allready have - busness sence - they aint got a clue what thats about ,customer satisfaction anyway
