I've been riding a Honda SH125i for a little over a year and it's great. It's very nippy upto 30 mph. From there though it's quite laboured upto it's top speed is 60mph (indicated) I've had no problem filtering on it at all. Depending on how you ride it you'll get between 70-90mpg. Pretty big wheels on it for a scooter too 16" so feels more confident round bends.
You will need a top box for storage though, very little space under the seat for a scooter.
