Inbetweeners - Season 3

Holy thread revival batman! Some of you already know I'm sure, but I couldn't find any thread, so I thought maybe I should drop in, leave the below here and then slowly retreat towards the door...

After "Skins" MTV US decided they could improve "The Inbetweeners". I present to you from left to right The New Simon Cooper, The New Will McKenzie, The New Neil Sutherland and The all New Jay Cartwright:

30 minute comedy series starts August 20th. Premiere on MTV UK planned for January 2013.

The characters look OK apart from Jay. Sure, he's full of rubbish but he shouldn't look like a total loser. Their Skins wasn't very good, but their version of Shameless was (is?) fantastic. However, I don't hold much hope for this but you never know.

US Skins, ****... US Shameless, ****... US Top Gear, ****... US Inbetweeners.... well it's obvious really.

Characters look terrible. There meant to be slightly geeky outcasts that don't quite fit in.
Simon and Will are both far to good looking, Neil looks like he should be in the Young ones and Jay looks like a real life version of Cartman.

I think that sums up my thoughts perfectly :p

Was there any doubt that it would be anything but garbage?

Office is the only show that made a smooth transition from British Comedy to American and only because of some of the well known actors casting, without them it would be nothing.

This though has no standout characters, may as well be a children's show with a few **** **** and buggers thrown in.

The office didn't transition as the office. It works cause its just an average american comedy.
Maybe they will never make a british comedy cause they arent British. Im sure they sit in their comedy board rooms, just having meeting about how they can *******ise it into some american pie rubbish.
Both the office and Inbetweeners have an awkwardness that underlies the jokes. Something Americans don't seem to get.

I think The Office is brilliant and I actually do get American Humour (you'll never hear me complain about genuine American Comedy shows, satirical or otherwise).

They do have an unnerving record for poor comedy shows though but the ones they do that are good tend to be very very good.

Meanwhile we tend to do it excellently almost all the time :p
